The vision of Monessen Communities That Care is to form vital working partnerships with concerned citizens, parents, schools, businesses, clergy, law enforcement, city government, and other community-based organizations. We will do this to send a united message to our youth about the risks related to substance abuse, violence, delinquency, teen pregnancy, and school drop-outs. We will reinforce the importance of education, family values, and healthy choice making. Research-based programming will be offered to reduce prioritized risk factors and increase protective factors. In this way, our positive youth development goals will be accomplished.
